commercialization research

Seven Vietnamese scientists officially join the LIF Global 2025 program in the United Kingdom.

In June and July 2025, Vietnamese LIFers join outstanding scientists from around the world to participate in LIF Global – one of the most intensive and long-term technology commercialization support programs globally, organized by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng).

In London, United Kingdom, the LIFers will:

  • Participate in in-depth training on technology commercialization

  • Meet mentors, investors, and members of the UK’s vibrant innovation ecosystem

  • Pitch to investors and potential partners

  • Expand their international networks and embrace global collaboration opportunities

All travel, accommodation, and meals in the UK are fully funded by RAEng (excluding visa, insurance, and other personal expenses).

KisStartup is proud to be the supporting and coordinating partner of the program in Vietnam, accompanying high-potential projects on this challenging yet promising journey of commercialization.

Let’s congratulate and follow the journey of Vietnamese scientists as they reach for global markets!

Top 10 of the Mitsui Chemicals R&D Collaboration Award 2024

Congratulations to the 10 groundbreaking technologies that have made it to the Top 10 of the Mitsui Chemicals R&D Collaboration Award 2024!

We are thrilled to witness the creativity and tireless efforts of Vietnamese scientists, researchers, and businesses in developing advanced technologies that contribute to solving global challenges and improving the quality of life.

These 10 outstanding technologies not only meet the criteria of the Mitsui Chemicals R&D Collaboration Award 2024 but also demonstrate immense potential for commercialization and widespread application in Vietnam, the ASEAN region, Japan, and globally.

List of 10 outstanding technologies:

  • Portable, compact, electricity-free water purification technology that filters coarse sediment, bacteria, and heavy metals, particularly suitable for areas prone to natural disasters and floods.
  • PVA-based ion exchange membrane technology used in capacitive deionization - a promising technology for desalination, especially brackish water, contributing to sustainable desalination solutions to meet the global demand for fresh water.
  • Technology for producing functional silk nanofibers that respond to pH for drug delivery. The goal is to enhance flexibility and control over drug release, promising to improve treatment outcomes through controlled and responsive drug release mechanisms.
  • Technology for producing biopesticides from agricultural waste. The biopesticide has progressed successfully at the pilot scale and has undergone real-world efficacy assessments.
  • Foam material production technology. Nam Anh Investment Joint Stock Company's project aims to innovate traditional air-filled foam products.
  • Sustainable footwear production technology. Leading footwear brand G'lenn applies 3D printing technology and bio-plastic materials from sugarcane waste in Vietnam to create environmentally friendly products, simplify the supply chain, and improve sustainability.
  • Hydrolyzed silk technology for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Technology for cultivating algae in treated leachate to produce environmentally friendly biodiesel. The project researches a treatment method combining traditional techniques with algae, which can remove nutrients from leachate and recover biomass for biofuel production.
  • Tissue culture technology. DBLP's Tissue Culture technology produces high-quality, disease-free seaweed seedlings, allowing for rapid multiplication and stable supply for industrial-scale cultivation.
  • Nano-assisted dioxin pollution treatment technology. This project aims to reduce dioxin contamination in soil caused by the use of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.

The Mitsui Chemicals R&D Collaboration Award is an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese scientists and businesses to connect with Mitsui Chemicals, one of Japan's largest chemical corporations, to jointly develop and bring groundbreaking technologies to the market.

We congratulate all the teams who have achieved this proud achievement and look forward to witnessing even greater successes in the future!
