Research
Alongside our training, coaching, mentoring, and investment matchmaking activities, KisStartup places an equally vital emphasis on research to maintain a comprehensive and profound insight into startup and innovation ecosystems. Driven by our commitment to connectivity and continuous capability improvement, KisStartup collaborated with expert partners on various startup and innovation research initiatives throughout 2017 and 2018. These included the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP2), Ton Duc Thang University (HCMC), and projects funded by the Taiwanese government.
KisStartup’s practical research capability is forged from the innovation startup tools we utilize in our training processes, enriched by real-world insights from the startups and innovation projects we work with.
In 2017, the KisStartup team completed 07 research case studies on new business models within pioneering technology sectors, commissioned by Ton Duc Thang University and Feng Chia University (FCU) in Taichung, Taiwan. These case studies were presented at the International Conference: "Business Opportunities and Innovative Models Driven by the Internet: Cases in Vietnam" held in HCMC in March 2018 and in Taiwan in April 2018. Also in 2017, we contributed to two major policy research papers commissioned by the Vietnam-Finland Innovation Partnership Program (IPP):
- Mechanisms to improve financial models for startups; and
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation in Higher Education Institutions and Policy Implications from IPP case study.
In 2018, we continued to collaborate with diverse partners to develop practical studies for the community, training curricula, and specialized research on innovative startups. Through these efforts, we aim to provide valuable insights for the community, support organizations, and policymakers.

KisStartup conducts practical and impactful research on innovation and entrepreneurship that provides valuable insights for enterprises, investors, local and international support organizations, as well as authorities and government agencies. These studies contribute to making decision-making processes more effective.
